Goal: To provide sound management of fiscal resources; enhance the physical well-being of staff, inmates, visitors and protect physical property.

The Bureau strives to achieve this goal in:

• The Director serves as controller of the Department of Corrections
• Provides fiscal policies and procedures in the Administrative Services Manual
• Reviews expenditures and assures they meet legislative and budgetary requirements
• Accurately reports and documents all fiscal transactions
• Administers a nutritional food service program for the DOC population
• Protects staff, inmates, visitors and property through a comprehensive Risk Management and Safety Program.

Goal: To provide nutritious, economical and safe food to staff, inmates and visitors.

Achieve This Goal By:

• Analyze institution menus and comparing to national standards.
• Keep accurate records and utilizing Computrition Food Management Software.
• Train Food Service employees in correct food safety & sanitation procedures & medical diets.
• Conduct food safety and sanitation audits of correctional institution food service operations.

• Protecting staff, inmates, visitors, property and fleet through a comprehensive Risk Management and Safety Program
